Creation Reminders as Spring Begins to Bud

DeeSpringThe other morning I was on the front porch, sitting comfortably on the hanging wicker chair. I was gently swinging and nestled on a thick cushion, surrounded by and propped up with pillows. The sky was clear and blue and the sun was peeking through the pine trees. Bright bands of light touched my skin, warming me. The breeze was just light enough to tickle the wind chime encouraging it to sing sweetly.

I could feel the blooming energy of the creative forces of spring emerging. In noticing this energy and observing the coming together of a beautiful, well forming day, my mind launched to motion with reflecting upon the creative energy. In the mist of reflecting, a hawk cried on the other side of the house. I noticed that there were no other birds in sound or sight. It seemed as though in previous years there was usually more bustling with creatures and life. It was odd that I felt the energy, but not observing any of it.

I let that thought pass and turned to a book I was reading about how to play in this illusion. As I was reading a passage about “changes simply unfold as a natural outgrowth when we reclaim and connect with our true selves”, the life of the “forest” around me woke up. At that point, I heard a chorus of singing birds. Soon after a cardinal flew past me. Looking around, I saw several different types of birds hanging out in the yard walking and pecking about. In the tree branches, still more birds. Shortly after, over my shoulder, I heard scurrying and old fall leaves crunching. Looking over to where the sounds emerged, I saw two squirrels playing chase and running up and around a tree’s trunk. Yet another squirrel with a nut in mouth, was digging in the pine needles to bury his treasure. Spring sprung!

I was in awe in how quickly the transformation occurred. It was truly amazing. I felt my heart expand. It expanded in such a way that I felt my heart smile. Within moments of my heart smiling, I heard my neighbor from two doors down and up a hill. She was singing, while only a short line. It was a joyous sound of thanks and praise. I saw her not, but felt her joy.

This fever of spring and its creative elements moved fast and spread with inspiration. Even though this creative energy seems more apparent in the springtime, it is happening all the time. Witnessing this was a wonderful reminder that we all hold and posses this creative force every moment and can create whatever we desire. I love be reminded of that.

Happy Spring! May you all create beautiful, joyful and adventurous days. Today and all days!

Allowing Ourselves to Feel… and to Love

LettingLoveInLove is my favorite topic! Love is the utmost balance. We can accomplish anything when we are in this state of being.

Over the past year, most of my clients have been suffering from some type of fear, isolation and/or anger issues, obviously preventing them from feeling the blissful state of love. Through much reflection, I have come to understand that it is time for people to “feel” again. We have spent so much of our lives blocking out our feelings and emotions. I see all that is happening in this world right now, which is allowing so much fear, isolation and/or anger to arise, as a tool to allow us to process these old pent-up emotions and non-expressed feelings. It is easy to see where people have suffered the most depending on what topic enrages them the most…

It may be difficult to see how we could possibly feel love when all of this pain arises in our consciousness. So my advice to everyone who comes to me with these issues at this time is this: FEEL each emotion. ALLOW yourselves to be angry and sad. Take the time to cry, scream, weep, protest or whatever it takes to get it out of your system and take the time you need to do that. Then: CHOOSE to be done with it all; TRANSCEND what is going on and NEUTRALIZE your emotions; TRUST in the process of life.

Giving yourself this allowance is the perfect step in honoring YOU and your feelings. We can choose love but in order to get there, we must allow ourselves to feel in order to neutralize and transcend. We cannot talk the talk if we don’t walk the walk. I have experienced this first hand and I understand the difficulty!

I know there are many spiritual practitioners and well-seasoned instructors who have gone through this and are still working through a lot of deep emotional issues. We cannot get to that state of love without going through the trenches of emotions. The light shows us the darkness. I have found that I get through it easier if I talk with someone and have a session. I encourage everyone to do the same. We can sometimes get through certain issues on our own, but we are in a new paradigm of working together now. I am truly grateful to all who listen to me and help me see what I am so blind to!

There may not be many in your close entourage who understand you, especially when you first begin your awakened path. There are many healing practitioners and facilitators who can help you just by listening to you and allowing you to unload your heavy heart while holding a space of unconditional love. This is “processing” and it is the biggest gift of love you can give to yourself! You will open up and it will help you realize that everyone is going through similar forms of processing now or will be in the near future, no matter WHO they are! You will become more open to others and be non-affected and feel peace within which will allow you to be in a state of love for everyone and everything no matter what.

I also love using light and color, especially when I feel imbalanced in the love department. My experience has been that pink is the best frequency color to help me heal and feel joy. Try it! Breathe it into your heart and spread it through your body and out beyond what you believe your aura is. This way, you affect everything with love! Blanket yourself in pink and allow yourselves to feel!

A Work in Progress

DebiW0117I am currently working on a painting that is evolving with every layer. It is a vibrant and messy work in progress that has changed and morphed in and out of chaos and subsequent order. I do not judge it; I let it evolve and flow out of me in perfect timing. I trust.

We are each a work in progress energetically, evolving in layers….as is the world around us. We can see ourselves now in a time of fear and failure, or trust our heart and know that the process is unfolding in the best way possible.

It is time that we really see ourselves as the amazing creators that we all truly are! The creators of our own works of art: our lives. Let’s be the change we wish to see in this world together….one layer at a time… a beautiful work in progress.

Does it speak to your soul to march for a cause, speak out on an issue, or leave anonymous uplifting art or poetry for strangers to find? Listen to your inner voice and honor your inner whispers. We are all a work in progress… let’s go with the flow and have some fun along the way!

Today is Blissful

121116_ll_blog_bliss-002Recently, I was walking my two male Dachshunds as I do most days. I had already walked my Border Collie and two female Dachshunds.  Courtney, the senior girl and self-proclaimed “Queen”, was riding in her “moveable throne or carriage”, otherwise known as a dog stroller.  Since the dogs have access to the backyard via a dog door, the walks are for fun and connection as they often will see neighbors and get some attention, such as pets or kisses; if they’re lucky, they’ll get treats as well.

The walks had gone and were going just about “normal” … lots of start and stops … sniff sniff, pee … sniff, roll in the grass, etc. Celt, the Border Collie who came from Louisiana following Hurricane Katrina,, is not seeing nor hearing so well, plus he has arthritis in his back hips. Acupuncture helps, to a degree.  None of that seems to interfere with his pursuit of finding something to forage from in our walk, whether dropped food or Canadian Goose or cat poop.  Then, he slows down at the second part of the walk while my youngest Dachshund girl, Missy (aka Miss America) is pulling to go faster.

So, here I am …. pushing the throne, lifting Queen Courtney up and down throughout the walk as she demands … keeping Celt from eating whatever, waiting for him to finish his socializing with neighbors … helping Missy to slow down and enjoy the walk … sometimes standing with Missy 16 feet forward pulling me that way, Celt 16 feet behind me, me trying to not pull him … and reminding myself that we’re all out here for “FUN”.

~whew~ I survive the first walk, and start the second after a short break. I don’t usually have this attitude about walking but I really wasn’t feeling well; yet I was “determined” to take them.

The boys were doing their “usual” … each often walking at their own pace which is usually way behind or way ahead of the pace I was at; and often one was walking way behind and one way ahead, with me again in the middle. Camo will run way ahead … and Scoo will start barking at neighbors, other animals, completely enjoying themselves …. and sometimes contributing to “mommy” feeling a bit stressed and crazy.

…. And then in a moment, IT ALL SHIFTED ….

The boys and I were walking down one long stretch, there was a bit of a wind blowing, the temperature was wonderfully in the mid-70s ….

I found myself fully in the present … enjoying the boys enjoying their walk with mommy …. the wind …

At that time, I realized “Today is blissful” …. period.

It didn’t matter that I had a long to-do list, or I hadn’t been physically been feeling very well and earlier had felt like I could just crawl onto the couch and stay there for a while … or that Courtney had just been diagnosed with congestive heart failure and the medication was making her sick … or I had unexpectedly been in the ER and then the hospital a couple of weeks earlier ….. or, that I have long-term bills to pay off ….. … or that my elderly mom (don’t tell her I used that term) has been having health issues and I live 3,000 miles away, etc.

All that mattered ….. all that matters … is that in each and every moment, I can choose bliss.

It really is that simple.  Breathe in bliss …. breathe out bliss.  Live in and from bliss.

Blissfully,

Simple Acts of Spreading Kindness

randomtexts

                  #RandomTextsofKindness

Note: This was written by Colby Hall, Trinity Energy Progression Instructor, the day after the U.S. Presidential elections, Nov ’16… and being posted in mid-December, with the political landscape just as chaotic… and during the end-of-year holiday season, providing stress for many this year; so of course, perfect!)

I had intentionally put off writing this blog until after the election, figuring that I would have lots to write about once the election was over.  But as I was in the shower on Election Day, inspiration struck (as it does so often when I’m in the shower), and I knew I had to write.

There’s something wonderful about a shower. I think it’s the perfect combination of the sound of the rushing water, the white noise from the exhaust fan, and the warmth that the water against your skin provides. Whatever it is, I find that in the shower I often go into a place of stillness and calm where my thoughts flow as easily as the water. So what was the thought today that led to this blog post? It was that I should text my mother and tell her I loved her. It was as simple as that. I thought about how that simple text would make her feel special and cared about, and how I hoped it would warm her up all the way down to her toes. It’s no small thing on my part either; I tend to find love difficult to express and therefore don’t express it nearly enough.

This idea blossomed into another – as my ideas tend to do when I’m in the shower – and I wondered what it would be like if even a small percentage of the population sent a random text to someone they cared about to let them know. It could be something as simple as “Hope you have a great day” or “Thinking of you.” It doesn’t even have to be words. I received a virtual bouquet of flowers from a friend of mine the other day who used a lot of different flower Emoji’s and sent the “bouquet” to me in a text.  Think of how special the recipients of these texts would feel, and then how that might change the way they approached everyone else they encountered in their day.  By one simple, small act, many lives could be changed.

I choose to perpetuate happiness as much as I can, to generate it within myself, and to do what I can for others to find it. I hope that you will join me in this endeavor. Although I am not a big Twitter user, I would love to see this go viral and for lots and lots of people to send a random text of caring to another as often as they feel inspired to do so.   We’ve all heard of random acts of kindness, so I thought I would call this #RandomTextsOfKindness. If even a few lives are brightened, it will be well worth the effort.
