Stories

In the spiritual realm, there are many ideas and thoughts about our “stories”. Here are my thoughts about our individual story; and how my story relates to me and who I am at this moment in this 3D incarnation.

Our stories are what make us who we are in this life at this time. They cover our entire existence over all of our lifetimes and our journeys to this point. Each life has lessons to learn and we choose all of the lives and journeys we have traveled including this 3D lifetime. We always have choices in each of these lifetimes; and we may or may not learn the lessons intended. Each of the lessons not learned in each of the lifetimes may be carried forward; we may face that lesson again in another lifetime. We may also make agreements and attachments with other souls which could carry forward and will eventually need to be resolved in addition to the lessons we are working on.

I have had many spiritual advisers tell me their thoughts on our stories. Some resonate with me and others not so much. In becoming a better and more spiritual being, we need to work on our stories and where we are in our spiritual growth. The final goal is to finally resolve all issues of all lifetimes, current and past.  Then our story will be complete and no longer needed. At that time, I feel that we will become One with the Divine Consciousness; and our existence in the 3D will be complete. Until that time, I do not think we can ignore or discard our story. If we could, all of the attachments, agreements, and lessons would no longer appear in this incarnation or any future incarnations as issues to be recognized and resolved.

As a spiritual healer on my journey in this 3D incarnation I have had many experiences with other healers assisting me with working through my story to let go and learn lessons to move me closer to being One with the Divine Consciousness. Several things that have made an impact on me with moving forward are very important to me; and I will share them with you and how I feel about these issues.

I feel that one of the most important things to remember when working with another is to honor and respect that person’s story. We all can have the same experience at the exact same time but each of us will be affected differently depending on our individual story and where we are on our journey. So, something that seems trivial to you may be significant to another. Plus, the other person may need assistance to be able to resolve that issue in their reality. That is what we do as healers – help others find ways to resolve their issues and heal themselves in their stories.

To me one of the most overused phrases that I have heard as long as I have been on this journey and seeking help in moving forward is, “You did the best you could with the knowledge you had at the time, just let it go and forgive yourself”. The problem with this is that I personally did not know how to let it go and forgive myself; and I did not have the courage to ask how I was supposed to do that. So I just kept silent, tried to figure out what I was doing wrong, trying to learn as much as I could, and still judging myself as not being worthy because I just didn’t know how to let it go.

I have had an issue that has been with me many years in my adult life that I have tried to figure out how to let go and forgive myself for. I have worked with different healers and never could get past it. I always got the “let it go advice” which didn’t work for me. Not long ago I was working with someone; and inevitably, this issue came up again. We worked on it for a bit but didn’t seem to resolve everything. This healer did not tell me to let it go. We just left it where it was.

Later, as these issues have a way of doing, it came up in a very big way one evening and I was in great distress over it. I sent that healer a text that said I was really struggling; and they asked if I wanted to talk about it. I couldn’t. So they asked if I thought I could put it into an email; I said I would try. Later I started typing.  I decided I would just type whatever came into my head and had no idea what I had typed. When I was finished, I hit send without reading what I had written. As soon as I hit send, I felt a peace come over me and the issue no longer felt huge. The response back to my email was, “WOW, that sure covered a lot”. No judgment, no “just let it go”, just holding space for me. I went back and read what I had written. I was a bit shocked, and had no idea how much was tied to the issue. If I had read it before sending it, I would not have hit send. Since this occurred there has been a major shift in my life with all of the aspects that were tied to this issue. I guess that I personally needed to have everything put out there that was part of this issue so that I could see the big picture. I have finally forgiven myself; and it is no longer an issue. It is still part of my story but it no longer has power over me.

My take-away from all of this is that as healers we have a responsibility to help our clients figure out the best way that works for them to be able to let go and forgive themselves in their stories. Don’t assume that everyone is at the same place on their journey, or just cut short their story and tell them to forgive themselves. They may not know how to do that and we need to be more sensitive to that possibility. As we all know we do not heal others, we assist them in finding ways that they can heal themselves. Sometimes just holding space and letting them work through it is all they need.

No Asky, No-Getty

In this time of great change, it is more important than ever to go within to find our own personal truths. When we listen to our own hearts and get confirmation in messages, it is a powerful reminder indeed. Messages come to us in many ways. Are you listening?

How do you personally recognize the messages that you are constantly receiving? Do you get messages from animals, plants, feathers, airplanes, insects, clouds, books, music, art, or by physical sensations and vibrations. When we learn how to tune into our own higher knowing, we tune into the Universe and get our messages loudly, clearly, and beautifully.

Meditation allows a clear and open channel to hear such messages. It is vital to quiet the mind because only a quiet mind can actually hear the answers being received. When there is a bunch of chatter going on in our heads all the time, who can hear a thing?

Those of you who know me…know that I have been on an active path in service to the YOU-niverse for quite some time now. I have often been inspired to use many little phrases…my “Debi-isms” …some have called them…to help anchor a point home. One of my favorites is “No-Asky-No-Getty”. When we start ASKING…ASKING…ASKING….not wondering….guess what happens. We actually get ANSWERS! This remembrance to continually ask my higher self for clear answers was really anchored within after taking a Trinity Energy Progression™ class a few years ago. Ask for messages…ask for signs…ask for answers…..

I think back to the first time I learned this lesson which is the story of a particular “teacher” of mine, who I called my living animal totem, my dog “Daisy”. Our family had decided to get a dog. Even though I didn’t have spirituality as part of my life as I do now, I had started to communicate with angels when I was very ill. My husband Gene suggested that I go upstairs in meditation and “ASK where we were supposed to go to find our dog”. I immediately saw the color, size, and markings of “our” dog very clearly. I was told that her name was Daisy and what shelter we would find her in. I had never had a third eye vision before, so it was quite profound. When we got to the shelter, as I was guided, there was the dog I saw in my vision, exactly as I saw her; and when I asked for clarification, I heard this was our dog. I had also heard “In the beauty there will be ugliness” which made no sense to me until we got home to find she was covered in ticks; and over time found out she had Rocky Mountain Spotted Fever, which she healed herself of. I got so many lessons from her including how to handle death, practicing patience, telepathic communication, and how to heal. Of course, one of the biggest gifts was her teaching me how to recognize signs and messages, and how to ASK for guidance and for what you want.

Now get on out there and remember to ASK what’s for your highest and best! No Asky, No-Getty …

Caterpillar

Caterpillar

When the hinges
Finally give way

And the glamour
And glory sway

Beneath the weight
Of tarnished truth
Revealed,

It comes as a
Relief to see

The ultimate
Futility

Of pursuing
What is clearly
A dead end.

No time like the
Present

Said the caterpillar
As she stepped

Across the threshold
Of her homespun
Cocoon

From which she would
Emerge very soon

Transformed
From head to wing

Ready to begin
Her beckoning
Adventures in the sky.

When I wrote this poem years ago, I could only imagine life beyond my unhappy hamster wheel. Now I know how beautiful it is to release the dysfunctional patterns, relationships, jobs and unnecessary burdens that defined my existence. So much so that this past summer I sold my house, quit my job, and moved across the country, from North Carolina to Washington State, to begin the next chapter of my story. This has been a HUGE growth experience for me, in ways I never previously imagined! As I construct my new reality, I look around and am amazed at how joyful and free I am. It’s a continual leap of faith, becoming easier and easier as I go. I’ve been so supported by family and friends. I love living at this high vibration, and connecting with others who are either already there or ready to be!

While talking with Angela this week about the tendency to cling to the habit of a pattern even after the underlying causes/karma are cleared, I had a vision of a deep wheel rut in the mud. I then remembered driving across the country, moving slightly to the left or right of the lane I was in to stay on the higher, less-worn pavement. This provided a smoother, quieter ride. Anyone who’s ridden in my Magic Red Carpet Mazda knows how important it is to avoid the bumps in the road. Opa!!

We each have the power to create new pathways in our lives. It starts with releasing the old familiar habits whose karma may be cleared, but now require a conscious choice to change. This is the time of re-creation in our lives, the world, the YOUniverse and beyond. In order to live our wholeness, it’s key for us to forge new patterns from the mundane details of our routines to where we live and how we manifest BBA (boundless benevolent abundance), from the highest vibrational energy available. We can do this… ALL of us!

As I write, I’m hearing the theme song from Aladdin, “A Whole New World”. I invite you all to join me on this magic carpet ride!

The Day the Music Stopped

At some point I became aware that upon waking, there would be times when I would hear music playing in my head, like a pre-recorded broadcast that had started without me. How long had this been going on I wondered? There was no quiet or peace like I would expect to have after waking from a night’s rest. Like a constant DJ, all types of random music played in my head. The funny thing I noticed though was that once I heard it, barely aware enough to recognize the song, the music would stop. Perplexed, I then asked myself, is it a radio signal that I am picking up from somewhere? Either that or perhaps my subconscious mind was busy running the show; it surely wasn’t a conscious choice on my part. Yet that made no sense to me at all.

Often, I would wake up in the morning with my first thought being, “who picked that song”? And then as soon as I had that thought, I could no longer hear the song, as if someone had turned off the station or turned down the volume. I then entertained the idea that if I wasn’t consciously choosing the music, then maybe my job was really to be the observer. You know the one that stands off to the side watching everything unfold.

As I explored these arbitrary episodes I was experiencing, I discovered that in physics, there’s something called the “observer effect”. The act of observing, in itself, changes whatever it is that you’re observing. Simply stated, it refers to “changes that the act of observation will make on the phenomenon being observed”. In other words, once I became aware of the music, it would soon stop. It’s almost as if I had to sneak up on it in a way to be able to even detect it at all. Once I discovered this, I had to ask myself, “What else is going on that I may not be aware of, much less observe”. It also made me wonder, “Do you hear this too?” Or, am I the only one with the internal radio playing the top 40.

I have spent a great deal of time learning how to be still, how to quiet my mind, how to distract myself enough to let it all go. Nevertheless, there were still many times I would wake up to a song playing in my head, even after becoming aware enough to be the observer of it. Irecognize it now as another level of consciousness, always there playing music. I’ve learned to use Trinity Energy Progression™ to raise my level of awareness and my level of consciousness above the incessant noise so that I am no longer bombarded with random music playing in my mind.

It’s a Process

Hands release 1 dove“I want to be psychic!” “I want to be able to heal this” “I want this pain to go away”.

Many, that begin or wish to expand the spiritual part of their life, want or expect things to happen in particular ways.

When I began my journey, I wanted many of the same things. I wanted to be able to “see visions” and “talk to spirits”.  Also, I had recently gone through an experience that had caused a lot of deep soul pain to surface. “I want this pain gone now!” I would think to myself.

In my experience, although issues are able to be instantaneously released, these issues take time to heal. It depends on how deep they are, and how many agreements, beliefs, or contracts that you have that cause you to hold onto the issues causing the pain or discomfort.

I spent at least a year in deep soul pain because it was on such a deep level; it often came in waves. Some days, I would be depressed but able to function. Other days, I would barely be able to function normally. I would have to excuse myself to the rest room and cry at least every hour. I began getting frustrated that it wasn’t all healed. I was upset that when anything reminded me of the trauma; I would feel as if I was right back where I started.

Turns out this was because although I was healing, it was slowly. I wasn’t able to see the changes day by day. But, if I ever took the moment to look back a month, or a couple months, I would notice a significant difference. I would look back in my journal and read some of the older entries. I would think to myself “wow, I was really messed up, I am so much better now.”

I also recall being obsessed with answers, and visions that other people would have while doing Trinity Energy Progression™ sessions on me. I would hang on every word. I was so obsessed with the person that had caused the trauma. “Will everything be ok? Will we be friends again!? Should I call them?” I would ask these questions every day. I was obsessed with this person and obsessed with everything working out right then and there.

I had to realize that it was because of my own lack of self love. I did not love myself enough and felt that I had to get it from others. I began working on that core issue. I also discovered that I had many walls that I had put up to protect myself. Part of the pain was from the walls being taken down. This can be very scary and painful for those that aren’t aware of what it happening. I recall felling as if I was being backed into a corner (emotionally), even though everything in my physical life was fine. Many things began changing. Slowly at first, but the more time went by, the faster the changes and healing occurred. My habits changed, my way of thinking changed, and even my reaction to things changed.

I also learned, that it is okay to “not be okay”. When things came up, I would often become upset; and, I was upset for being upset, which only escalated the problem. I would be upset for being angry or sad or afraid. Now, I understand that it is okay. When things like that come up, it is so it can be healed. I am now able to look at it without giving it power, and without it influencing my behavior (for the most part). I even find that it takes too much energy to stay mad or upset.

I have also been able to “see” as others have, such as psychic visions while doing Trinity Energy Progression sessions. I have also been able to mediate much more easily. This, indeed, took some time and practice.

So, if you are becoming frustrated or tired that you have not obtained the results that you want from this work, then take a moment to look back, and truly see how much you have changed. It is okay to “not be okay”. Be kind to yourself. It is a process and it is different for everyone.
