Staying Centered… and Getting Nature

As I’m writing this, the world finds itself in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic. It is easy to get overwhelmed with the volume of information coming at you from all sides: the news, leaders of all kinds from every country affected, social media, and of course, friends and family. And here in the USA, we are being placed under stay-at-home orders. It’s no wonder so many people are gripped with fear and despair. Personally, I’ve gone through lots of varied emotions. Not true fear – mine is more of a cautiousness and a wait and see feeling – but I have had many days where I was really fed up with it all and some where I was feeling down. At other times, I’ve had a lot to be thankful for and even to laugh about. I want you to know it is okay to feel that way. It is okay to feel however you feel and to feel different things hour by hour, minute by minute even, especially in extraordinary times like these.

Now to shift gears a little bit. In the northern hemisphere, where I live, it is springtime. It seems hard to believe that the natural world is carrying on while we humans are hunkering down, but it is. And I, for one, am thrilled. I love seeing nature reawaken! I rejoiced when I saw my first native bees of the year using my bee house. Plants that I thought for sure hadn’t survived the winter began poking their heads out of the ground again, and I even had one of the eastern black swallowtail butterflies that overwintered with me emerge and fly off in the nice warm weather. Spring is the season of renewal, and boy we could sure use a renewal right about now!

With that in mind, I would encourage you to spend as much time as you can outdoors, or if you can’t be outdoors (we are in the midst of what we locals refer to as “the pollening” in my area where even a few minutes outside results in you being covered from head to toe with a yellow-green pollen) try to bring the outdoors in with flowers or plants. Even watching television shows about nature can help lift your spirits. Nature gives the gift of allowing you to just “be”. You don’t have to impress it or put on a happy face or worry about what you say to it or what tone of voice you use. You get to be fully you and nature accepts you as you are. Even better yet, as you become still and begin to acclimate to your outdoor surroundings, nature lets you in on its secrets. You begin to notice things you hadn’t seen before like new plant shoots or leaves that have suddenly appeared that weren’t there the day before. I’ve already been lucky this year to also see rabbits and deer that know I’m around but don’t mind my being present.

I tend to dislike writing in a journal, but I don’t mind posting on social media as much, so for me, sharing the new things I discover each day in a short post (or in multiple posts if it has been a really good nature day), is a good way to commemorate what I’ve experienced and allows me to share my  findings, thoughts, and feelings with others. Many people remark on my posts directly or when I see them in person, and tell me how much they enjoyed seeing and learning about my various topics. The butterflies that I raise and release are especially popular topics. So if you feel inclined, share some of the joy you find outdoors with others and let’s see if collectively we can bring happiness to large numbers of people. Feel free to start right now by leaving a message in the comments as to your favorite nature moments. I look forward to reading them!

In the Garden…

A squirrel enjoying breakfast.

No matter what the size, gardens help us to reconnect – with nature, with the earth, with our selves and our higher selves.  I love walking around my patio garden in the mornings, checking on each plant and seeing what is new. There is always something that has changed or that I am just now noticing since the time before.

I enjoy my garden at any time of day, but mornings are my favorite. There’s something about the stillness of the morning that speaks to me and allows me to just BE.  It’s as though I’m the only person around for miles…and I become one with the plants, insects, and other creatures. We feel a gentle breeze together. We hear the birds chirp. We are immortal and exist solely to be what we are as we drink in the first light of daybreak. It is a wonderful time of day!

Time spent in the garden, or in any place where nature is abundant, can help you strip off the day-to-day world and let you return to the truths of your being. All of a sudden you realize that you aren’t worried about that thing at work, or what Susie said to you last Saturday, or whether you are ever going to lose those last five pounds. You simply are. And what you are is wonderful.

Contemplate the miracle of life as you watch a caterpillar hatch from its egg. Look on with amazement at how a morning glory knows to open at the beginning of the day and close at the end. See if you can follow a trail of ants and figure out where they have come from and where they are going. Some of the simplest discoveries are the most enriching. And along the way, marvel in the fact that you are a part of it all.

Although it’s not what most people think of when they hear the word meditation, I find that some of my best meditating and many deep insights come when the rest of my body is focused  on gardening. I think it’s because part of my mind has a task to focus on, which gets it out of the way and allows the rest of me to receive the information. If, like me, you have a mind that seems to run non-stop making sure you are prepared for every single minute of every day lest you forget something or are caught unawares, I suggest you try this technique; I think you will find it very rewarding! As an added benefit, once your mind becomes accustomed to feeling relaxed in your garden, it starts relaxing at other times as well. A very handy thing indeed!

The photos here are some of my most recent discoveries in my garden. I hope you enjoy them!

The Void

Yes! The void… another puzzling four-letter word! Google defines it as a “completely empty space”. But for the common folk, it’s plain frustrating!

There is no doubt that when you begin your “awakening process” you want to get through to the other side ASAP! Time to see the lessons, plow through, write them off as LEARNED and be DONE with them…

Then walks in Mr. Void. Suddenly, we freeze and have no desire to do anything, not even move forward nor backwards! The world becomes fuzzy, your memory is stifled despite the 1,000 milligrams of ginseng you took in the morning. Your get-up-and-go got up and went. Meditating may even become difficult. Losing ground is a common occurrence during the void and you may feel neither here nor there. You become withdrawn, heavy, and for many, anti-social! Dazed and confused. You just do not know if you are coming or you are going! Mood swings are the norm and even talking becomes tricky!

Been there, done that! Several times… Fun times, pulling out my hair trying to make sense of it all. I’ve had the chance to become superb at recognizing when the void shows up and I hope this will help you understand just how perfect the void actually is!

Learning to work with the void is challenging and a necessary step in our evolution as ascended beings. Believe it or not, this is actually the time that the body opens up fully to record the downloads it has been receiving and the vibration naturally sets in to raise our frequency. In other words, we get our antennae (for some it may feel like we are growing antlers) and we will soon be able to detect what will make us feel more whole! It’s the great state of transition and change and it brings the gift of allowing and recognizing all those new possibilities you thought about before the void hunkered you down.

How do we get through the void? Patience, patience, patience! Silence, stillness, and maybe a box of Godiva chocolates. Realize that this is the dimensional shift that actually puts us in gear to take off to create our new “realities”. The old self and ways are no longer useful and are actually leaving your vibration for good ….. dying may be a happier explanation.

Nature has been my best ally during the void along with a sea salt bath which seems to help relieve any physical pain I may experience. Looking at trees and listening to their song reminds me that we need to take that time to contemplate the beauty and listen for that inner song that brings out the beauty in our BEings. Take a day or two off from work and walk in nature. Honor yourself to escape the craze and get in tune with your new vibration. Sleep, nap, daydream. Ground yourself several times a day and imagine you are as big and strong as a deep-rooted, twenty-foot wide oak. Drop a grounding cord from your tailbone and take deep breaths. Open your solar plexus and let the light in to get your power back.

Now when the void arrives, I get excited because I know I can have “me” time without any excuses! I know I am receiving the upgrades that are going to take me to new heights and my head is happy because I leave the hair in… Out with the old, in with the NEW! And remember, a Trinity Energy Progression™ is always there to help you raise your light if the void gets a little dark.

Embrace change!

Unconditionally, Lovingly yours,

You can see the Divine in yourself, mirrored in each other’s eyes!

Recently I went to a workshop at Vincent Genna’s and we did an awesome exercise, where we paired up with a stranger, someone we haven’t worked on before or didn’t know. There was beautiful spiritual music playing in the background.

Our task was to sit across from each other and to look into each other’s eyes for a couple of minutes. One person goes first and touches the other person’s face very gently. Then we switch and the other person does the same thing. It is a very intense and emotional experience. It’s up close and personal, and you can feel the Unconditional Love from the other person.

It was even more wonderful to open my heart to the stranger and sit there blissfully in Trinity Energy Progression™. It was one of the best experiences I’ve had in a very long time. What made it so exceptional is that my ability to go deeper into myself allowed me to connect in such an open-hearted way that I hadn’t had the ability to do previously. It feels like you are looking into God’s Soul.

Since that experience, I’ve found it so beautiful to connect to God’s creatures and Nature. So, when you find yourself wanting to connect to yourself and the Oneness of us all, I suggest going for a walk in Nature and seeing trees in bloom and the wildlife. All is just another way of seeing God’s light in and around all of us.

This spring has really blessed us with Unconditional Love and Beauty in unexpected ways.  It’s all just waiting for you to reach out and connect to all.

Let your light shine through in all that you do!
